Professor, Social and Human Services Dept.
Edmonds College
Hello and welcome to my Tenure Portfolio.
Thank you, Dr. Singh and The Edmonds Board of Trustees for the opportunity to be considered for tenure. Becoming a tenured professor is not only a significant milestone in my career, but it also brings immense value to our students and the college.
Tenure provides consistency for students, ensuring they have access to a stable and supportive educational environment. It also fosters a sense of commitment, which directly benefits the students by promoting long-term engagement and development within the college community.
With tenure, professors can fully dedicate ourselves to the craft of teaching. This stability allows for greater focus on professional development, which ultimately enhances the quality of instruction and creates more robust and enriching programs for our students.
Additionally, tenured faculty can engage in meaningful collaborations that strengthen academic offerings and further the college’s mission of excellence.
I bring unique qualities to Edmonds College, with my distinctive experiences and perspectives that can elevate the Social and Human Services program and the broader Edmonds College community.
I chose Edmonds College, and I am honored that, through this process, Edmonds is choosing me.
