Hello. I’m Sak. Managing Director and Lead Mental Fitness Coach at Orange Ball.
I grew up in Burnley, a small town in the heart of the Pennines, steeped in history and sporting tradition.
I was fortunate enough to live a stone throw away from Burnley Football Club and it played a significant role in my life; instilling a passion for football and sport and helping me to develop the life skills I apply to this day.
These positive experiences led to a career in London as an Advanced Skills PE Teacher/Football Coach and later an accredited Senior Leader and qualified Executive Coach and Mentor.
As the Managing Director and Lead Mental Fitness Coach at ORANGE BALL I’m extremely fortunate to be able to combine my love for sport, education, coaching and positive psychology to support individuals and organisations with their mental fitness.
ORANGE BALL work is scientifically informed and underpinned by a Masters Education in Applied Positive Psychology and Coaching Psychology. Positive Psychology is the study of human flourishing and the science underpinning positive mental health, and wellbeing. When combined with coaching, it acts as a powerful change agent moving individuals, teams and organisations towards positive mental fitness and optimal functioning.
My team is made up of experienced and accredited professionals who, like me, work with dedication and commitment when supporting the Mental Fitness of everyone we are privileged to work with.
ORANGE BALL has the knowledge, experience and expertise to support you to develop the mental health and wellbeing of everyone at your club and I look forward to sharing more about me, my team and the work we do.
Hello. I am Dr Zuzana Winter, Consultant Clinical Psychologist at Orange Ball.
I have a lifelong passion for all things related to mental health, relationships and sport. Having grown up in Slovakia, a country of natural breathtaking beauty and easy access to outdoor activities, I was from a very young age involved in a number of different sports, from competitive street dance to skiing to climbing. Through this, I learnt the good and bad that comes with being competitive and a team player, including the importance of managing own and others’ expectations as well as discovering the true value that drives us as individuals to not only succeed in our chosen field but more importantly, a value that provides a genuine life road map that is able to stomach the lives’ wins and losses.
As a Clinical Psychologist, I am fascinated by the role emotions play in our fitness (both physical and psychological), our relationships and our sense of living a life that’s worth living. I believe that mental health is a great asset which, if used properly, can lead to major life transformations ‘on and off the pitch’ so to speak.
I have worked across different organisations and with different populations, from children to adults and older adults of various backgrounds and with diverse and complex psychological needs. I am passionate about working in partnership with others, whether these are individuals, families or wider professional groups. I enjoy partnering with them in discovering their inner and team spirit, and finding a true purpose to their activities.
In my work, I combine a number of evidence based approaches to fit the client(s) vision and needs. These include the following: mentalisation-based therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, intensive dynamic psychotherapy, cognitive behaviour therapy, cognitive analytic therapy, compassionate focused therapy, mindfulness, solution focused therapy, and non-violent response and others.
