ABOUT US:
OUR MISSION: Through theatre arts and productions, we provide opportunities that foster creative expression with an emphasis on collaboration. We strive for excellence with our students while making meaningful connections and building community between all ages and ability levels. There are opportunities for self expression through all theatrical art mediums and that encourage students to discover their own voice.

Edina High School's theatre season consists of many opportunities for students to get involved onstage and off. Our mainstage season includes a fall musical, winter one act and spring show. Throughout the year, our thespian board sponsors events like 24 hour plays, cabarets, volunteering events, the senior showcase and more.
There are endless ways to get involved with EHS Thespians!
Ella Williams - Artistic Director
Ella (they/them) is in their third year as Artistic Director of the EHS Thespians. Their past Edina directing and choreography credits include: Alice by Heart, Clue, Nice Work If You Can Get It, Mean Girls, and Peter/Wendy. Ella is also the Artistic Director of Morningside Theatre Company in Edina, where they have directed over 50 productions. They graduated from the University of South Dakota, with a BFA in Musical Theatre and a minor in Dance and is also an EHS alum.

Liz Behnke - Theatre for All and One Act Director
Liz Behnke (she/her) is excited to join the EHS Theatre community this year. She holds a BA in Theatre from Augsburg University, concentrations in directing, dramaturgy, performance, and playwriting, with a minor in musical theatre. Upon graduating she toured with the Missoula Children’s Theatre out of Missoula MT, where she discovered a passion for theatre education. Her Masters of Education is from the University of Minnesota with a focus in Arts Education and she has been teaching theatre and directing since 2020. At EHS she will be leading the Theatre for All program and directing the One Act production! Besides Theatre education, Liz is a playwright who focuses on accessible theatre with disabled actors and artists.
