Established in 2014 by Lisa Hanson & Jessica Froehlich, Edina High School's Theatre for All program brings Unified programming to theatre. This course pairs special needs students with typical peers. These pairs create and perform their roles together. This partnership model allows students who typically do not get the opportunity to engage in performance the chance to be center stage. By the end of the course, students have created a show which they share with the community at the Edina Performing Arts Center. The best way to understand how it works is to attend a show! Past shows include Shrek, Beauty and the Beast, A Year With Frog and Toad, and Newsies. Theatre for All is a proud recipient of the Cargill Community Partner Grant.Â
Current teachers of the program are Ella Williams and Sam Paulison. Theatre for All runs every semester during 5th hour.
COMING SOON... Come see MATILDA JR which performs Thursday, May 28th at 7pm and free to the community!
