Standards Based Unit Planning

Why: When teams work together to decide what students need to know, why, and how they will demonstrate success, individual teachers have the Clarity (Effect Size .75) they need to support student learning. Effective curriculum mapping helps teachers know how and when they will address learning standards. Having a clear map of the curriculum makes it easier to make instructional decisions, such as when or how to make adjustments to instruction based on student mastery.

Outcome: Participants will create a standards-based curriculum map to have clarity on the key standards taught each lesson within the curriculum.
