Professional Learning Objectives:
- Develop a shared understanding of our work in the North Dakota Comprehensive Support and Improvement Project- Apply new learning and resources to map curricula around Warwick's Priority Standards- Identify and begin to address the work of collaborative school improvement
Participants will learn more about Ed Direction's team, approach to school improvement, and their role therein.
Participants will understand the strengths and limitations of their personal styles and will have an understanding of how “Compass Points” can impact their work.
The Spheres of Influence is a powerful coaching tool during times of transformation. The technique is designed to separate out lower from higher priorities to gain ownership for action.
Participants will extend their knowledge of how teacher clarity leads to effective instruction and addressing Priority Standards therein.
Teams will review the new Priority Standards aligned with the North Dakota State standards set for Warwick Elementary School and build these into instruction with Rubicon and Planbook.com.
Participants will consider why the hard work of improving student outcomes is worthwhile to begin with!
