Kaleen Primary School is a Professional Learning Community (PLC) that is made up of a number of Collaborative Teams (CTs). These teams give staff opportunity to meet purposefully to achieve the school's strategic priorities. These :
Staff Meetings: Attended by all teachers (LSA and Admin teams have the option to attend) and minutes are available for all staff.
School Improvement Teams (SITs): Teams of teachers that drive the school's improvement agenda. The current teams are: Literacy, Numeracy, STEM and Sustainability, Positive Behaviours for Learning (PBL), Cultural Integrity and National Quality Framework (NQF). Teams are made up of teachers from across the school (meet on a needs basis).
Sub School Collaborative Teams (SSCT): These weekly meetings are facilitated by school leaders and are learning focussed. They involve professional learning, discussions about lessons and practices, planning and analysis of data/student work samples.
Cohort Collaboration Teams (CCT): Teams of teachers grouped by year level teaching. These teams meet weekly during teacher face to face release and focus on planning and assessment.
Collaborative Initiatives and Events Teams: E.G. Formative Assessment Team (FAT), Arts Festival, STEM Night (meet on a needs basis).
