Q. Who do I contact if my student is sick?
A. The front office will contact you if your student is not at the school, you can reply to the text message explaining why they are sick, or email them beforehand on stromlo.absences@ed.act.edu.au.
Q. What do we do if my student has an appointment during school hours?
A. You will need to make sure you sign the student out through the front office, also it would be a good idea to write your student a note to give to the teacher of the class it affects so they can meet you down at the front office on time.
Q. What happens if we are running late to school?
A. The student can sign in at either the Front office or Student Services, if they are coming without you dropping them off you may want to email the school or call to let them know why. Again it is that email address- stromlo.absences@ed.act.edu.au

A. Yes! On the flexischools.com website. You just need to select Mount Stromlo and order what you want from the menu.

A. Write your student a note explaining that you have given permission for the day, for your student to give to their TEAM teacher and then keep on them for classroom teachers. If you are struggling to purchase the school uniform we do have a second hand stall the P&C run but you can contact me about it.

A. You can encourage them to speak to a teacher, their TEAM teacher, School Counsellor, School Caplin on me their Year Coordinator.
Q. Why are all the elective classes different?
A. In Year 7 and 8 the students rotate through term units of the elective classes, these include: Art, Drama, Dance, Photography, Metalwork, Woodwork, Food and Music. This gives them an idea of which elective they want to choose in their senior years for the semester (Two term) courses.
