Legal Studies provides students with a broad understanding of the Australian legal system, including the nature of law, law-making processes, and law reform. Through the units of Civil Law and Criminal Law, students explore how legal systems operate within social and political contexts, and how they aim to balance individual and collective rights in the pursuit of justice. The course builds skills in research, analysis, and argumentation, with opportunities to apply learning through participation in the interschool Mock Trial Competition.

Psychology is the study-of the mind and the neuro-processes the brain. This course allows students to study biological based topics such as brain structure and development, and theoretical based concepts such as the psychology of identity or happiness. The psychology course is intended to be a stand alone units with different topics that can be studied in any order.

Introduction to Philosophy will provide students with an overview of what philosophy is and a basic understanding of key philosophical concepts. Throughout this course students will learn about some pivotal figures in the history of philosophy such as Plato, Wittgenstein, and de Beauvoir and the philosophical traditions in which they existed.
Students will be guided through the course using a series of inquiry questions and aphorisms through which they will be introduced to the branches of logic, ethics, and epistemology. Students can choose to continue this elective with the course Continuing Philosophy in which they will further examine the branches of aesthetics, metaphysics, and modern political/social philosophy.
