AFP Celebration of Women and Girls in Science Week
On the 12th of February 2024, four year 12 students who have a strong interest in STEM subjects were selected to attend the AFP International Women and Girls in STEM Day. The girls were inspired by the vast range of opportunities that were available to them within the AFP Forensic Sciences department, should they choose to pursue a career in STEM. Students were able to able to interact with senior scientists and to engage with some real forensic science identifying blood, fingerprints, handwriting and performing chemical analysis. It was an exciting day and all students left feeling excited about their futures.
