Closing end of Week 8
All students wishing to be part of the QUEST classes next semester need to apply via the form below. This includes students who are currently in QUEST classes and students who wish to move into one or several QUEST classes.
Quest Enrichment
This week in the QUEST enrichment we learnt about the world of competitive puzzling and had a go at competitively completing a word search. The focus and tension was commendable and several teams posted impressive times. You see here the winners enjoying a bag of snakes as their prize for their impressive feat. After this students continued working on their long term projects which are due around half way through Term 3!
QUEST Enrichment
This week in QUEST enrichment the students completed a murder mystery relay. They needed to complete a series of mathematical puzzles to get the next clue to ultimately solve the murder at the movies. They needed to use teamwork and and play to their team members strengths. Congratulations to the winners from year 7, 8 and 9 and thank you to the Year 10's for managing the clues!
QUEST Enrichment
This week students were encouraged to celebrate Pi day and challenged to complete a puzzle. Three students submitted the correct responses and were rewarded with celebratory donuts (not pies - but still round). After this introduction students were given an option to work in a STEM space or a English/HASS space and complete challenges. The STEM students were challenged to build a 1m3 out of paper and tape, whilst our English/Hass students were redesigning language and packing a bag for a new colony on another planet. QUEST Enrichment
In week 1 of the QUEST program students explored their creative thinking skills. The energy was high and everyone engaged enthusiastically with the challenges.
