Learning from Home

Digital platforms will form a central role in supporting your child to continue to access their learning program at home. The way your child interacts with these tools will look different depending on your child's age, teacher and year level. The platforms will provide clear structure and support to continue teacher-led learning from home.

As a parent, we encourage you to support your child to access their learning in a flexible learning environment that suits your family's context and timings at home.

We understand that during learning from home our school community requires clear and ongoing communication. To meet the needs of the students and families, teachers will communicate with their classes via a variety of ways including: Seesaw, Google Classrooms, Google Hangouts and/or Google Meet. Our teachers will make regular contact with their students and families. We will also continue to communicate with families via the school Facebook page, Communicator, phone calls and emails to keep you up to date with learning and information.

Each year level will receive a weekly timetable of planned learning tasks and opportunities from their class teacher. These will be sent out by 5:00pm Friday, prior to the next school week. This will allow families time to plan the week ahead for their children and themselves.

When student tasks have been completed, they may be shared with the classroom teacher via photos, videos or a document and can be uploaded onto the specific classroom platform as per the teacher’s instructions.

Work samples may not always be individually marked; however, teachers will acknowledge student work and provide relevant feedback to them.
