Communication with School/Teachers

Whilst working from home or at school during this ‘Learning from Home’ period teachers will be planning and facilitating learning with students during school hours (9.00am-3.00pm) and will NOT be available to answer parent questions or take phone calls. If teachers have a need to contact you during these hours, they will do so when it is convenient for them.

Teachers will be marking the roll each day to check that students are online and engaged in learning tasks. Parents will need to notify the school or their child's teacher if their child is unwell and unable to participate in the learning from home.

We encourage families to use our normal channels of communication to allow teachers to respond in a timely manner. Email : chapmanps.info@ed.act.edu.au or your child’s teacher or phone CPS on 026142 2400.

It is important for everyone to remember that teachers will be communicating with many other families and that your communications should be meaningful and short. You may also need to remind your child to be patient when waiting for support or feedback from their teacher. We will still support you and your child/ren during this learning from home period.
