Absences can be updated via the parent portal, SMS
Absences must be explained within two weeks as per student code of conduct
Medical certificates are required if:
A student is sick or injured
Had three or more consecutive days away from school.
If the student has missed an assessment or needs an extension.
Attendance Requirements:
A student will V grade if they have more than 10% of their classes as unexplained absences.
For a semester unit a student will V grade with 8 or more unexplained absences.
For a term unit a students will V grade with 4 or more unexplained absences.
For connect group a student will V grade with 3 or more unexplained absences

Students need to collect a leave form from Student Services if you are away for 3 days or more.
If you plan to be away from school for more than three consecutive days, complete an Extended Leave form before leaving. These can be collected from Student Services. Leave will not be processed without this form. It is up to students to collect this form, not parents.

Please avoid taking holidays during the term; we may not always be able to accommodate a date change. If you are going overseas it is the student’s responsibility to ensure they circle it on the form so we can enable the student to have overseas IT access whilst on leave. Do not put extended leave through the parent portal.
