AGREEMENTS
Active Listening: Really listening when someone else is talking. This means focusing on their words and feelings, making sure you understand, and letting them know you’re listening. Eyes follow the speaker, ears open, mouth closed.
Mutual Respect: Valuing each person’s special qualities and differences. It’s about appreciating what makes everyone unique and giving helpful feedback that helps others grow. It also means respecting each other’s stories.
Appreciation/No Put-downs: Being kind to others by noticing and saying nice things about their strengths and talents. It’s also about not using hurtful words, gestures, or actions.
Mindfulness: Paying attention on purpose to what’s happening right now, without making any quick judgments. It’s about being aware of your thoughts, feelings, and surroundings.
Right to Pass 1x– Right to Participate: It’s okay to choose not to join in some activities, but everyone is expected to complete classwork and contribute to class discussions. Engaging in these tasks is important for your learning and helps build a strong learning community.
