Advertising Poster Contest Rules

Judging will be based on the following criteria:

1. Posters must be completed on white poster board or construction paper.  Poster size must not exceed 12” x 18”.

2. No foam boards

3. Posters must have “Elko County STEM Fair 2023” incorporated into the design.

**(Grades 9 – 12 have an option of creating artwork digitally – please see below for digital contest rules)

1. Make your poster as creative as possible.

2. Each student must place the following information on the back of their poster:

   1. student’s name

   2. name of school

   3. grade level

   4. student’s home phone number

• Be as creative as you can!  

• Make sure you meet all of the criteria listed above.  

• Keep it STEM oriented and check your spelling.  

• Posters with spelling errors will automatically be eliminated.  No 3-d models will be accepted.  

• Make sure that you aren’t copying any designs from other resource materials.  i.e.; science books, magazines, or previously finished posters.

• Posters selected for printing will be awarded $25.00.

• All drawings and photos must be created by the artist.

• Certificate of Originality must be signed. (click here to print form)

• Teacher verification (Teachers can have students demo for them if they did this at home)

• Must give a brief description of the steps one took in creating the project (not simply "edited in Photoshop") Must be specific!
