Career Exploration: XELLO

Xello is our career exploration program that we use in grades 6-12 to explore, plan, and prepare our students for postsecondary outcomes. In the middle school, Xello's focus is primarily exploration. Once students enters High School, we can narrow our focus to different specific pathways.

4-Year Planning

This year all 8th grade students will complete a 4-year plan creating their path to academic success in High School.    Mr. Evans will be in the classroom to assist in the creation of each individualized plan. Along with this, students will understand the process of registering for classes in high school, the sequence of math, science, social studies, & history courses, along with all graduation requirements. Although they are planning out all 4-years, they are not required to follow this plan exactly. This exercise is meant to show the steps it takes to earn a diploma, explore the different course options available to them, & empower students to take control of their educational journey.

At Earlham we utilize Xello in the High School to explore career pathways, colleges, majors, trade schools, scholarships, financial aid, build resumes, and so much more. Xello is both self-guided and instructor led during our RISE time on Thursdays. Below are all the lessons that each grade will complete by the end of the school year.
