Ms. Blackburn is a first year teacher in Escambia County. She wants to do well, so she has taken some PD classes offered by the District during the summer. Ms. Blackburn understands teaching from the standards and has become familiar with Chromebooks and Google Apps. She even did a few webinars on student engagement and classroom management! As she starts preparing her classroom for the start of a new school year, she hears about including rigor in the classroom. She thinks she knows what this is, but to get clarification, she decides to talk to some co-workers.
