On average we spray all noxious weeds on a property 3 times per season. If there is a heavy infestation we may do 4 sprays.
We walk all the native areas and spot treat all the noxious weeds that we find. This is generally done with electric backpack but sometimes we use a hose for larger areas.
These are not all of the noxious weeds but these are the ones we see the most.
Noxious weeds are illegal according to the state of Utah. People must treat them and often get citations from the county. If the homeowner does not reply, the county will send someone to spray the weeds and leave a bill. If that bill is left unpaid they can put a lean on your house.
Noxious weeds generally fall under the broadleaf category. They can spread and take over areas very quickly including: fields, mountain bike or running trails, parks, playgrounds, etc.
Some noxious weeds are poisonous to animals. Some can harm humans.
For best result spray them when they are young in the "rosette" stage.
