The students go out in the community on an almost daily basis. This can be in many different forms. Community- based activities can range from volunteering in local establishments to outings or restaurants. Students are encouraged to bring money for purchases while out in the community. Each family can decide how much money to send but $10.00 a week would be a good amount if you are unsure how much to send.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Once the student is out in the community with their classmates they are engaging in tailored training sessions conducted to foster independence and build confidence through unique real-world experiences. Therefore, we cannot guarantee that a student will be on campus at any given time and may not be able to return before their allotted community time is over.
