Our Community Service Learning Model celebrates our commitment to strong community partnership and student centered learning and growth. Our model amplifies the expertise of community partners who have a wealth of knowledge to share with our students. By contrast, our previous model emphasized quantifiable time spent in service, rather than creating space for students to focus on enriching relationships and substantive experiences in community.

Each Form III class engages in Adler discussions on campus in the Fall and Spring. These discussions touch on topics such as social justice, community service vs. service learning, identifying vibrant and appropriate community partners that align with student interest, among many other topics. The Adler discussions are complimented by assignments that help to guide and expand student thinking throughout the year.
In Forms IV through VI, students complete direct community partner facing service learning work, either within the context of CSL classes or by completing an independent CSL project.
All information related to the discussions, assignments, calendar of events, and updates can be found on the Form-specific CSL Google Classrooms. Students, please be sure to pay close attention to your Google Classroom site throughout the year. You will receive automatic email alerts when the Classroom has been updated with new information.
