The Istrouma JROTC is the pride of the Tribe, giving Cadets the opportunity to represent the schools commitment and involvement to the community at large.

Our Color Guard team(s) have the opportunity to perform whenever the community and school asks them to, as well as competitions.

Color Guard performs at football games, basketball games, parades, formal dinners and events, and competes against other schools in the state for top honor of Best Color Guard in the Bayou State.

The Color Guard is made up of four to five cadets:

• U.S.Flag Guard

• U.S. Flag

• State Flag

• State Flag Guard

• Color Guard Commander

While marching, the U.S Guard always leads, with the U.S. Flag right behind, and the State Flag and Guard following behind is in column formation. Normally, the Commander is behind the formation and providing commands as the element marches.

Traveling Team

Cadets who are on the traveling Color Guard Teams (2) are required to:

• Have an updated sports physical

• ASB ($25- pay in office)

• FamilyID registration for JROTC (FamilyID Information will go out as needed)

• FULL CLASS A UNIFORM
