Takara Butler, RN, MSN, MHA, CCM, native of Baton Rouge, LA., is an invigorating professional registered nurse whose aspirations are to empower individuals with the abilities to manage their own personal health through health literacy. Embarking upon a decade of nursing, Takara seeks to change the healthcare perspective amongst patrons within vulnerable communities. Takara received her Bachelors of Science in Nursing from Southern University A & M College and University and dual masters degrees, Master of Science in Nursing and Master in Healthcare Administration from the University of Phoenix. Her diverse work experience yields no limitations as she has excelled in the respective areas such as emergency room/critical care nursing, hospice, home health, case management and nurse manager for a one of the most profound and notable mentioned Fortune 500 managed care organization. Takara is well recognized as a leader, strategist and innovator for her peers and professional organizations. She has served on many boards with her most recent completed leadership role as vice-president of Black Nurses Rock, Baton Rouge chapter. Takara has successfully launched a 501C3 non-profit organization named The Resource Center in which she strives to provide valuable resources to the most vulnerable communities through health education. Takara is a proud alumni of Glen Oaks Magnet High where she also received her fundamental nursing skills while partaking in the medical magnet program. Takara is truly compassionate about health education and believes that opportunity only exist with preparation.
Nicole Thomas is an educator, motivator, and purposeful living enthusiast. She has 11 years of experience in leadership, healthcare management, clinical knowledge, and business acumen. Her mission is to help female healthcare professionals to awaken their God-given purpose as a healthcare professional through education and empowerment through her brands Nicole Thomas INC & Going Beyond The Chart. Nicole earned her Bachelors of Science in Nursing from Southern University A&M College and her Masters of Nursing with a specialization in Nursing Education from Walden University.
