Team HUMBER (year 6)

Good afternoon, 

Team Humber have worked incredibly hard at their independent writing about exploring ancient Egyptian tombs. 

We have our learn through week on Charities and will be focusing on the local charities Communitea and Selby Hands of Hope with a particular focus on mental health.

Next week:

English: We will be writing an information leaflet about what mental health is and how you can support yourself. 

Maths: We will exploring adding and subtracting fractions.  

P.E is on Tuesday and Friday. Children need to come dressed in PE kit for the whole day. Children need to wear a pair of plain black or navy blue jogging bottoms or shorts, a plain white t-shirt and a plain black or navy blue hoodie. Children need to wear suitable shoes for PE (trainers or plimsolls).  

Homework will be set this week.

Reading: The children will be expected to read a minimum of 3 times a week, ideally to a grown-up. This needs to be recorded in their reading records.

Spelling: The children will be expected to play a minimum of 5 games of the set spelling rule on EdShed. 

Maths: The children will have a task set on My Maths.

Children are expected to access TTRockstars a minimum of 3 times a week.
