Team calder & Loxley (year 5)

Good afternoon, 

Teams Calder and Loxley have really enjoyed their Learn through week on the arts and have worked incredibly hard on their challenge papers. We are very proud of them all.

Have a lovely break.

After the half term break:

Friday will be our DT day. 

English: We will be starting a narrative based on a child working in a Victorian mill.

Maths: We will be learning about angles.

Curriculum: We will be starting our new topic and finding out about what successes Queen Victoria's role brought to Britain.

PSHE:  The children will be finding out about the health risks of smoking and how tobacco affects the lungs, liver and heart

P.E. is on now on Thursday and Friday. Children need to come dressed in PE kit for the whole day. Children need to wear a pair of plain black or navy blue jogging bottoms or shorts, a plain white t-shirt and a plain black or navy blue hoodie. Children need to wear suitable shoes for PE (trainers or plimsolls). 

There will be no homework set this week.
