WEEKLY UPDATE
Hello everyone,
Another fantastic, busy week with lots of Christmas excitement and nativity performances. Thank you to everyone who came to our performances – we hope you enjoyed watching as much as the children enjoyed performing!✨
📚 Learning Next Week
Next week we will be getting festive with lots of Christmas crafts, including making cards and decorations to take home.
In maths, we will be learning to continue to explore repeated AB patterns. Another christmas example will be Santa, tree, elf, santa, tree, elf etc. The children will be asked to copy and continue AB patterns and spot the mistake within a pattern.
🎅 Reading Elves
Our special visitors are having a blast with their sleepovers and sharing their Christmas story. Every evening, two children get to take a Reading Elf home, along with a cosy Christmas story to share with their family.
We would be delighted to see the magical adventures you have together, so please feel free to upload any photos to Tapestry for us to share with the team.
Please remember, our elves only stay for one night. They must be returned to school the very next morning so they can fly off to visit the next child—and so every child gets their special turn before Christmas.
Thank you for helping us make this a magical experience for the children! ✨
A Few Important Reminders
Our Wednesday PE sessions are paused until January. No PE kits are needed on Wednesdays until after the holidays.
This week will be the last week of the school year that we send phonics reading books home. Thank you for supporting your child’s reading! We will start our reading programme when we return back in the New Year.
Thank you for your continued support!
