Good afternoon,
The children have really enjoyed having special visitors in our classes this week. The Elves have decorated our classrooms read yfor Christmas as well as being cheeky too!
We are well underway with our rehearsals for the Christmas performance, and the children are working incredibly hard. Please can we continue to ask that if your child has a speaking part, you practice these with them, it really helps to build their confidence. We can't wait for you to come and watch it!
Costumes need to be in school on WEDNESDAY 10th DECEMBER. If you need support with costumes, please come and see us.
Changing books:
To support with reading in school we are changing the day we are sending new books home. Please can book bags and reading records be sent to school on THURSDAYS.
REMINDERS:
For Autumn 2, our PE days will be Monday and FRIDAY. KS1 are very lucky after the half term break to be having one of their lessons with the Beyond the Physical coaches that come into school on a Friday.
In Maths, Year 1 will look at placing numbers on a numberline and odd/evens numbers.
In Year 2 , we are continuing multiplication as repeated addition then moving onto multiples of 2,5 and 10.
In Writing, we are looking at the different types of sentences that we can include in our letter writing to Father Christmas.
HOMEWORK:
Your children will bring home their reading books on Thursday. We ask that you read with your child 3x a week and write in their reading records each time you read.
The children who have read 3x, will be giving a raffle ticket to be in with a chance to win a prize.
We know reading is essential for your child/ren and we thank your support with this.
Any questions, please come and ask us.
