Good afternoon,
Teams Calder and Loxley have had another good week and really enjoyed our visit from Kier Mather.
Key things this week:
All costumes to be in school by Tuesday 9th December.
Friday is the pantomime visit and children need to arrive at 8:25. (Children can come in party clothes but they need to have a school jumper for the pantomime).
Friday is our party day. Please ensure children have party food with them because this is their lunch.
Next week:
English: We will be starting a persuasive letter to Keir Mather about the importance of recycling electronic devices.
Maths: We will be finding a percentage of an amount.
Curriculum: Children will be exploring where in the world we trade with for our energy sources.
PSHE: We will be looking at our dreams for how the world could be a better place.
P.E is on Tuesday and Friday. Children need to come dressed in PE kit for the whole day. Children need to wear a pair of plain black or navy blue jogging bottoms or shorts, a plain white t-shirt and a plain black or navy blue hoodie. Children need to wear suitable shoes for PE (trainers or plimsolls).
Homework will be set this week.
Reading: The children will be expected to read a minimum of 3 times a week, ideally to a grown-up. This needs to be recorded in their reading records.
Spelling: The children will be expected to play a minimum of 5 games of the set spelling rule on EdShed.
Maths: The children will have a task set on My Maths.
Children are expected to access TTRockstars a minimum of 3 times a week.
Thank you for your continued support,
Mrs Danbury
