Team calder & Loxley (year 5)

Good afternoon, 

Teams Calder and Loxley have had another good week and have enjoyed starting our letters to Kier Mather.

Next week:

English: We will be continuing our  persuasive letters to Keir Mather about the importance of recycling electronic devices.

Maths: We will be continuing to work on short division methods.

Curriculum: We will be finding out about natural resources and where they come from

PSHE: We will be investigating our dream careers and what steps we may need to take to achieve this.

P.E is now every Tuesday and Friday. Children need to come dressed in PE kit for the whole day. Children need to wear a pair of plain black or navy blue jogging bottoms or shorts, a plain white t-shirt and a plain black or navy blue hoodie. Children need to wear suitable shoes for PE (trainers or plimsolls).  

Homework will be set this week.

If children cannot access the internet at home, sheets can be requested for homework. 

Reading: The children will be expected to read a minimum of 3 times a week, ideally to a grown-up. This needs to be recorded in their reading records.

Spelling: The children will be expected to play a minimum of 5 games of the set spelling rule on EdShed. 

Maths: The children will have a task set on My Maths.

Children are expected to access TTRockstars a minimum of 3 times a week.
