Coming up next week:
Due to the Year 3 Murton Park trip on Wednesday, please can children come in PE kits on Tuesday and Friday next week.
English: We will be writing a independent diary extract from the perspective of a character who has escaped from Pompeii on the day of the famous volcanic eruption!
Maths: We will continue with our fractions work by placing fractions on a number line between 0 - 1 and look at using repeated addition of unit fractions to create non-unit fractions, as well as comparing non unit fractions with fractions equivalent to 1 (eg 2/5 < 5/5 )
PE Year 3 & 4: Children need to come dressed in PE kit on Wednesday & Friday. Children need to wear a pair of plain black or navy blue jogging bottoms or shorts, a plain white t-shirt and a plain black or navy blue hoodie. Children need to wear suitable shoes for PE (trainers or plimsolls).
PSHE Year 3: We will be looking knowing what it means to be a witness to bullying and to know what our school shared definition of bullying is.
PSHE Year 4: We will be looking knowing why witnesses sometimes join in with bullying and sometimes don’t tell.
Homework:
Homework will be set on a Friday and is due the following Friday.
Reading: The children will be expected to read a minimum of 3 times a week, ideally to a grown-up. Please record this in their reading records and bring these into school.
Spelling: The children will be expected to play a minimum of 5 games of the set spelling rule on EdShed.
Maths: The children will have a task set on My Maths.
Children are expected to access TT Rockstars or timestables.co.uk a minimum of 3 times a week.
If children cannot access the internet at home, sheets can be requested for homework.
