Good afternoon,
It has been absolutely lovely being back with the Teams this week and we have really enjoyed hearing about their holidays. The children all seem really refreshed and ready to go for the last half term of the year! This week we carried on with the Toy Story narratives we started before half term. We planned, wrote and then edited our practice write before starting to plan our independent narrative. In Maths we kept building our fraction knowledge and started looking at mixed numbers. In History we started our final topic of the year! For this unit we are finding our ‘Who were the Maya?’ and this week we found out that the Ancient Mayan period started around the same time as the Bronze Age in Britain. In Science, we enjoyed looking at water transportation through plants.
Coming up next week:
The Year 4s will be visiting Murton Park on Monday. Children need to arrive at 8:35am on this day.
