WEEKLY UPDATE

Dear Parents and Carers,

This week, the children have been busy planting sunflowers and exploring what plants need to grow. They’ve enjoyed reading and following simple instructions to help them plant and take care of their sunflowers. 

In Maths, we’ve been using Rekenreks and five frames to work out subtraction facts from 5. The children have done a fantastic job writing their own number sentences and challenging themselves to do this independently in provision. 

In phonics we have been working on consolidating learning to read longer words. Just a reminder to check Tapestry for an update on your child’s reading progress. It's a great way to see how they're developing and to support their learning at home.

A big thank you to all the parents and carers who have uploaded photos and videos of home learning—it's wonderful to see how engaged the children have been outside the classroom!
