Good afternoon,
Well, SATs have now been and gone. I cannot tell you how incredibly proud I am of each and every child. They have been so calm and taken some rather tricky papers in their stride. I could not have asked anymore of them. They all sat down and gave the best that they could give. Again, I am so very proud of them all.
We have a little wait now until July for their results, where we will celebrate the fabulous progress that they have all made, but most of all, we will celebrate the incredible individuals that they each are.
There is no homework set this week. We will start homework again after half term.
Coming up next week:
Wednesday is class photographs - please ensure children have a cardigan or jumper with them.
Thursday - Horton Park Primary are joining us for the day. We will be completing art and PE activities together.
Learning next week:
PSHE - we will be completing the 'Growing up in North Yorkshire' survey, which is an anonymous health and wellbeing questionnaire.
We will also be looking at gangs, peer pressures and how we can take control of our own choices.
English - we will be editing and publishing our stories based on The Lighthouse.
Creative curriculum - we will be introducing the Victorians to the children by looking at what life was like during the Victorian era.
Science - the children will be continuing their learning on gestation periods.
Thank you for your continued support,
Mrs Danbury
