Good afternoon,
Team Calder have been fantastic role models over the past few weeks, taking on their sports leaders roles brilliantly as well as representing Staynor Hall amazingly well on our trip to Selby High School and when our visitors from Horton Park were here. I am so proud of them!
Maths and spelling homework has been set this week. Please let me know if you need homework printing.
Don’t forget to keep checking Twitter to see what learning we have been up to!
Next week:
Monday and Tuesday are transition days, so the children will be spending time getting to know their teacher in Team Humber.
During the week, we will also be spending some time on our DT learning.
English: We will be writing a recount based on our day with Horton Park.
Maths: We will be continuing our learning on fractions.
Curriculum: We will be continuing our new topic on ‘When is Mother Earth not kind’ and we will be looking where earthquakes and tsunamis happen.
PSHE: We will be thinking about the positive and negative consequences of being part of an online community.
P.E is now every Monday and Thursday. Children need to come dressed in PE kit for the whole day. Children need to wear a pair of plain black or navy blue jogging bottoms or shorts, a plain white t-shirt and a plain black or navy blue hoodie. Children need to wear suitable shoes for PE (trainers or plimsolls).
If children cannot access the internet at home, sheets can be requested for homework.
If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact the school office.
Thank you for your continued support,
Mrs Lazenby
