Good afternoon,
This week, KS1 have worked extremely hard and produced some brilliant writing linked to our book 'Toby and the Great Fire of London.'
REMINDERS:
Our PE days are Monday and Thursday
YEAR 1 children - If your child has signed up for craft club, this takes place after school every Wednesday.
Our topic this half term is 'The Great Fire of London.' The children will be looking at how and why the fire started and comparing what London looked like before and after.
In Maths, Year 1 are focusing what two digit numbers are made of. For example: 43 is made up of four tens and three ones.
In year 2 , next week we are continuing our learning about place value to 100, including addition and subtraction. We will also be recapping our number fact knowledge and recall within 10.
In Writing,
HOMEWORK:
Your children will bring home their reading books on Friday. We ask that you read with your child 3x a week and write in their reading records each time you read.
The children who have read 3x, will be giving a raffle ticket to be in with a chance to win a prize.
We know reading is essential for your child/ren and we thank your support with this.
Any questions, please come and ask us.
We hope you have a lovely weekend,
Team KS1
