The days I spent to be the volunteers in Ebenezer Child Care Centre have always been the time that I would love to share because it gave me happiness and satisfaction and made me become a very thankful person.

I have been a volunteer in Ebenezer Child Care Centre for more than four years. Everyone in centre including centre-in-charge, teachers and training assistants are very kind to me and treat me as their old friends. I witness the growing up of our lovely children every year until their graduation in child care centre. It makes me moved and I sincerely hope that every Ebenezer’s child can grow up healthily and happily!

I have started my voluntary work in Ebenezer Child Care Centre since summer of 2014. I seem to be a training assistant and help teachers in classes. Some people may think that volunteers are serving others unilaterally, however, this is the two-ways relationship. I cannot experience the benefits before participating in voluntary work. To review the experiences of interacting with those children with visual impairment or physical disabilities in the past few years, I realize that nothing is taken for granted! It is a truth that this is a process of life influence life. They inspired me most they are able to be self-improved and persistent. It is nothing impossible in the world and I hope more people also have the opportunities to experience!

I have been a volunteer at Ebenezer School for many years and at the child care centre in recent years, however, following the retirement and travel plans of my husband and me, we have reluctantly to quit our contribution to be the regular volunteers.
It is certain I will miss Ebenezer and playing with these special kids reminds me of all those sweet memories I had with my own children when they were small many years ago. These special Ebenezer children are smart, funny and well behaved. I enjoyed being a "mum" again. The children are taken good care by their teachers with lots of love, care, respect and gentle disciplines when necessary. It is also grateful to see the children to enjoy the healthy, nutritious and tasty food in their meals.
The centre would provide many fabulous and educational programs for the children, such as shopping in supermarkets, visiting the public library in Western district, enjoying a picnic at Repulse Bay Beach, having lunch at Pizza Hut and a wonderful visit to the Guide Dogs Training Centre.
Through these many activities, it's lovely to see the children sharing and learning to work together, understanding how to well behaved in public and showing respect and courtesy to other people. These are some treasurable memories I will always remember and I wish all the staff and students to grow in such environment with full of happiness and joy.
