Testimonials of Volunteers :

Kelvin

To start with, it is my honor to be invited by the Ebenezer Christian Ministry to write this message. Looking back, it is now my tenth year of volunteering here. Other than the Christian Ministry, I also volunteered in different departments such as RSP,

Library and ESAA. I thank God for the opportunity to reach out to different groups of friends with visual impairment through Ebenezer School. I believe we have enriched each other’s lives.

Elizabeth

Thank God for His wonderful guidance and leading me to organize weekly religious activities in the Ebenezer School through Rhenish Church. Now I realize why God heals me and restore my   visual ability and I can see again. He granted me the ability to help the children of Ebenezer School to know about God so that they could be saved by Jesus Christ!

In 13:13 Corinthians I, Paul reminded us, ‘But now we still have faith, hope, love, these three; and the greatest of these is love’. What I was most touched by Paul is that God shows His love through us. This is God's true love! Let’s manifest God's selfless love in our lives. Let’s be a loyal and committed volunteer and do our best to help those in need.

Shining Love Volunteer Team

We are Christians and many of us come from Chinese Rhenish Church Hong Kong who have volunteered to serve the students of Ebenezer School for the Visually Impaired since 2013. Our team has grown from eight volunteers at first to fifteen now in 2020. Most of us are retired professionals including teachers and principals.

We are responsible mainly for after-school religious activities which used to be scheduled twice each week and now rescheduled with once each week. We would spend about an hour each time in prayer, praise, preaching and play.

In the beginning,we had no experience working with visually impaired children. From getting to know the students at Ebenezer School,we found them to be as innocent, honest and lovely as any other children. The gifted musicians among them have amazed us with their talent for playing piano and have shown us how great and wonderful our Creator truly is!

Our volunteer team benefited from our volunteer work as well. From our volunteer services,we learned the Biblical principles of showing love to God and human beings, giving "even a cup of cold water to one of the little ones" for Jesus Christ. We intend to store up our treasure in heaven. Let us give thanks to God for our opportunities to serve Him!
