Welcome to the Shoemaker Library! I am Mrs. Mang and I am excited to share a love of reading with ALL of the students at our great elementary. I have been the Librarian at Shoemaker for 12 years.  Before I became the Librarian, I was a first grade teacher in the East Penn School District for 8 years.  Five of those years, I served as the Head Teacher.  I received my undergraduate degree from Bloomsburg University. I played 4 years of field hockey for the Bloomsburg Huskies, helping my team win three NCAA Division 2 National Championships.  I attended  Kutztown University for my Masters of Library Science.                            

I have three daughters that keep me really busy.  I love being a mom! Riley is 16 and starting her Junior  year of high school.  She is playing tennis for her  high school.  Kelsey is 14 and currently playing soccer for Parkland High School.  Sophie is 11 and excited to start middle school. She is always playing field hockey.  We always have fun going to the beach and playing board games together! We have a bunny named Cinnamon. We like to dress her up!

I always set some time aside each day to read! I love reading historical fiction! My trip to the Biltmore Estate this summer sparked my interest in reading more about that time period.  I also enjoy talking about books with my book club!
