In the East Penn School District, all fifth grade students perform a concert as a part of the music curriculum. In preparation for the concert, students will experience the dedication required to put together and rehearse for a large-scale performance, as well as improve their musicianship skills and prepare for musical ensembles at the middle and high school levels. Material is selected for the chorus based on musical merit and educational benefit for the students. Students also have the option to sign up for special opportunities to create artwork for the show, and to be featured singing, dancing, speaking, or playing instruments in the concert.
The date of the concert will be communicated via Seesaw- please be on the lookout!
4th and 5th grade students also have the opportunity to join the Liberty Lane Singers, an extracurricular musical group. The Liberty Lane Singers rehearse before school and perform at school assemblies, in addition to other performance opportunities throughout the year. Please keep an eye out on Seesaw for more information about this group, or reach out to me at any time.
