Course Description

Using TestOut online videos, fact sheets, and simulations, this course will provide students with the knowledge required to create documents using Microsoft Word 2016, spreadsheets and databases using Microsoft Excel 2016 and Microsoft Access 2016, and multimedia presentations using Microsoft PowerPoint 2016. Students will also develop fundamental computer operation skills.

Course Layout

Students are set up to learn Microsoft Word and Microsoft PowerPoint during the 1st quarter of the course and Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Access in the 2nd quarter of the course using TestOut online lessons and simulations. Once a TestOut account is provided, students can access their course content on any COMPUTER attached to the internet. System requirements for using TestOut software on computers outside of classroom can be found here. At the end of the semester there will be a comprehensive exam that covers all 4 pieces of Microsoft Office covered.
