iReady Math
Our third-grade math instruction follows the i-Ready Classroom Mathematics program, which encourages students to develop a deep understanding of mathematical concepts through problem-solving, discussion, and hands-on learning. Students are encouraged to explain their thinking, use multiple strategies, and make connections between math concepts and real-world situations.
Throughout the year, students will build their skills in multiplication and division, fractions, place value, multi-digit addition and subtraction, measurement, time, mass, liquid volume, area and perimeter, and geometry. Students will also practice solving one-step and two-step word problems while developing their mathematical reasoning.
In addition to whole-group lessons, students participate in small-group instruction and individualized practice to support their learning needs. Students will also use the i-Ready Personalized Instruction app for approximately 40 minutes each week during class. This program provides students with targeted practice based on their individual needs and helps reinforce the skills taught during math instruction.
Reflex Math
Reflex Math is a fact fluency program designed to help students build confidence and accuracy with multiplication and division facts. Through engaging activities and games, students practice their facts regularly while developing automaticity and strengthening their overall number sense.
Students will use the Reflex Math app during class each week to practice their multiplication and division facts at their own pace. The program adapts to each student’s needs, providing targeted practice and helping students build fluency over time.
