In third grade, students will take the Pennsylvania System of School Assessment (PSSA) for the first time. These state assessments take place each spring and measure students’ understanding of grade level skills in English Language Arts and Math.
Throughout the year, students will be learning and practicing the skills needed to feel confident and prepared for the PSSAs. Our goal is to help students view these assessments as an opportunity to show what they know while continuing to grow as learners. We will work together throughout the year to build strong test-taking strategies, problem-solving skills, and confidence.
