Does Field Study become part of my academic schedule?
Yes. Field Study will be placed in a student's schedule likely during the 1st or 4th Block of the school day. This allows students to receive Late Arrival or Early Dismissal privileges so they can complete their Field Study hours during the school day. If those times are not conducive to the placement site's hours, students have the flexibility to work out a schedule with their mentor that will allow completion of the hours outside of the school day.
Will I have the same site placement all school year?
Not necessarily. Students who sign up for .5 credits or more can request to be placed in two different sites so they can compare and contrast different fields. The Field Study Coordinator will work one on one with students to determine the appropriate timing of each experience.
