Performance helpers - For parades, you will trail the band with a wagon of water and throw candy to the crowd if allowed. For band shows, you will stay with the band throughout the event and help as needed as a chaperone. Riding to and from the event with the band is encouraged, but not required.
Providing water/candy - We ask that you provide enough water for 1 bottle per student. These can be dropped off to the school prior to the event or brought and put on the bus as we are leaving. You do not need to attend the event if you are providing water.
For use when you will be missing a rehearsal, performance, etc. for any reason. Fill out and submit.
For use when you will not be using school-provided transportation to and/or from an event. Print, sign, then turn in.
Pellegrino Music Center works collaboratively with our bands to provide necessary resources, supplies, lessons, repairs, instrument rentals, and more! John Bell, our store representative, visits Hiland every Thursday. So, if you have ordered supplies, or if you have an instrument scheduled for repair, you can be sure that it will be taken care of for you. Contact Mr. Rearick for more information.

HABITS of a Successful Beginner Band Musician (Elementary Band Method Book)
NEW THIS YEAR! All elementary bands will be switching to the the green "HABITS book". The book can be purchased online through Pellegrino Music Center or other local music stores. (Be cautious about ordering from Amazon... some students received a different instrument than what they ordered). When purchasing the book via the links below, make sure to specify that the book is for a student in East Holmes Local Schools. When you do this, the book will be delivered to Hiland free of charge. Mr. Rearick will then deliver the book to your student during the next rehearsal.
Fingering charts are essential for all students. There are many to choose from, so take a look and see which one suits your style!
