Our class will be piloting the UFLI (University of Florida Initiative) phonics program. UFLI is research and evidence based program. The scope and sequence is designed in a way to ensure that students are able to develop skills to read automaticity and confidence.
Lessons are presented in a multisensory way.
Heart words are taught with emphasis on how the words don't follow the rules.
