As a PD reference page for EGPS Administrators, this area houses links to articles useful to a variety of roles and building responsibilities. Additional articles and suggestions are welcome. Administrators should also consult the online EGPS Google Classroom, which features a multitude of technical sessions for learning.
The administration at East Granby Public Schools has done numerous book studies in the past as a group, sharing and discussing what they've learned from these books on leadership, equity, professional development, and management. We administrators have favorite books we love to share with our EGPS colleagues, with books for lending available in our offices or through the EGHS library.
East Granby Public Schools uses Vector Solutions for our PreK - 12 faculty/staff training. This robust platform has all of the mandated training required by the Connecticut State Department of Education, as well as other topics such as Elementary Interventions for Students with ADHD, Trauma Awareness, and Data-Based Decision Making. Vector Solutions is an on-demand platform, which allows faculty and staff to access the training workshops at any time and allows for personal choice, based upon the educator's role in the district.
