There are 3 main airports serving the San Francisco Bay Area
There are no free shuttle services between the airports and Google. If you need transportation between the airport and Google/hotels, we suggest one of the taxi or shuttle services listed below. You can connect to the CalTrain - our commuter rail line - from the SFO airport, which will take you to Mountain View, but please budget a lot of time for multiple connections and you'll need to find transportation between the Mountain View CalTrain station and the hotels. There is a light rail connector from the San Jose Airport and the Mountain View CalTrain station to the Google Event Center (where the workshop is held). Please see the Public Transportation section for more resources on how to navigate the public transportation system.
One of our event priorities is to be as sustainable as possible in everything we do. The choices we make around transportation can help us lower our carbon footprint. We encourage car pooling, riding the event shuttles or taking public transportation.
Summit attendees will have the opportunity to reach out to each other to set up carpools to and from the event.
BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit)
BART is a rapid transit system serving the San Francisco Bay Area. The heavy-rail public transit and subway system connects San Francisco with the San Francisco airport (SFO), cities in the East Bay and suburbs in northern San Mateo County, however it does not run to Mountain View. In order to travel to Mountain View via public transportation, you'll need to take CalTrain.
CalTrain
CalTrain is a commuter rail line on the San Francisco Peninsula and Silicon Valley. You can use CalTrain to connect to Light Rail, to reach the Google Event Center.
The Google Event Center is located near to the Mountain View Light Rail VTA station (Lockheed Martin Station). Caltrain connects at the Mountain View and San Jose Didiron stations
Free parking is available on site.
Download a ride-sharing app (Uber, Lyft, etc) for on-demand transportation.
