What: Learn the fundamentals of research: Question identification and literature review. Choose your own subject/research question. Develop critical thinking and writing skills through a comprehensive literature review project. Create an academic presentation for your findings. Gain broad exposure to the scientific process, regardless of your background.

Summer Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REU)
When: May 25 to July 27. Application Deadline: January 31, 2025
Where: Durham, NC
Who: Applicants must be enrolled in an accredited college or university; Second-Year or Third-Year high school students
What: Over nine weeks, you’ll live on the Duke campus, participate in authentic research and present findings at a special symposium.

What: USC Summer Programs’ courses are taught by USC faculty and experienced professionals of the USC academic community. Our faculty create an engaging academic experience by combining lectures, hands-on workshops and labs, and guest speakers. Each course is designed to be more interactive, engaging and challenging than accelerated high school classes or the broad introductory courses offered by other summer pre-collegiate programs.
