Course Overview
Fundamentals of performance in the wind and percussion instruments are the focus of daily instruction in our beginning band classes. Our goals include development of ear training, listening skills, playing skills (both individual and ensemble), tone production, technical mastery of the instrument, and musicianship. The band performs concerts, and the students participate in the Eanes Solo and Ensemble Festival. Students also have the option of rehearsing and performing for a special Spring band activity.

1-inch Binder with pockets (used solely for band class; NOT a large zipper binder)
Pencil Pouch inside Binder (separate from the pencil pouch you might use for all other classes)
Pencils
Metronome/Tuner
Tuner Pick-up Mic
** Supply Lists specific to each Individual Instrument are available from the band directors.
