Whether you're just getting started or already making beautiful music, private lessons are a powerful way to grow your skills, gain confidence, and get personalized support on your instrument.
At West Ridge Middle School, we encourage students of all levels to consider taking private lessons. Working one-on-one with a skilled instructor can help with everything from mastering tricky fingerings and bowings to preparing for region auditions or solo performances. Lessons are tailored to your needs, your pace, and your musical goals.
Lessons are available before school, during your orchestra class, and after school, making it easy to find a time that works with your schedule. We work closely with a roster of highly qualified instructors who specialize in string instruments and understand the unique needs of middle school musicians.
Private lessons are not required—but they are encouraged for students who want to go further, faster, and with more finesse.
Still unsure if private lessons are right for you? Talk to Ms. Compton or Dr. Burch — we’re here to help you find the best path for your growth!
